World Environment Day is administered by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). It is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, however, it is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world. It was established in 1972, however, it was first celebrated in the year 1973. Its conference is held each year by different cities (also called host countries) with a different theme or theme.
