Volunteers are needed at this fun, family-oriented event to sell tickets and work with children at various stations.

Dutch Marktplaats

This popular event held in the Civic Center features Dutch food, period crafts, costumes and shopping. Volunteers are needed to greet guests as well as to sell Tulip Time merchandise. Wearing your own Dutch costume would be helpful at this event!

Art and Craft Fair

This popular outdoor event requires the help of many volunteers. Relief workers are needed to fill in for merchants while they re-stock or take a break. Also, volunteers are needed to assist the merchants as they arrive at and depart the venue. Finally, help is needed with refreshing and maintaining Hospitality Tent items.

Souvenir and Ticket Sales: Sell tickets and souvenirs at various venues around town during the week of the festival and answer guests' questions about the festival. Retail, cash register and credit card sales experience would be a plus!

Parade Marshals

These marshals assist with line-up and flow for one or more of the three festival parades. In addition, Route Marshals are needed, who can walk the entire parade route, to maintain the pace of the parade and assist with any participant problems that may arise. Training is provided.

Musical Events

Work at one of the many shows that bring the joy of music to the festival! Volunteers are needed for ticket sales, ushering, security, parking attendants, etc.

Operations

Volunteers are necessary here to help with all that goes on behind the scenes at the festival - crew leaders, drivers, security, parking attendants, etc.

Tulip Time Run

This 5K/10K run kicks off the week of the festival! Volunteers for this event will help with registration, greeting or acting as Course Marshals positioned throughout the race course.

Group Opportunities

Bleacher Patrol: If your group (church, neighborhood, work, friends, school, etc.) would like to become more involved with the festival this year, consider becoming a “Bleacher Patrol”! The Tulip Time Bleacher Patrol Program is the "face" of Tulip Time. Bleacher Patrol volunteers act as hosts, ushers, guides, and guards during all Tulip Time Festival parades. Volunteers check tickets, assist with seating, run errands for guests, and alert the Red Cross of emergencies. A small stipend is available to these groups.

Information Booth

Perhaps your group would be interested in staffing one of the festival’s Information Booths? Training and information, as well as a small stipend, will be provided.
