1. Avoid fraud in the name of e-KYC verification
Reliance Jio said, do not respond to any call or message in the name of e-KYC verification. It asks fraudulent users to call an unknown number for KYC verification. There is a need to be wary of such fraudulent calls.
2. Do not download the app for KYC update
Do not download any app on your phone or PC for KYC update. This could allow access to your device to reach scammers and cause you financial loss, meaning that money could flow out of your account.
3. Do not share important information
According to the company and cyber expert, the customer does not need to provide important details like Aadhaar number, bank account number, OTP. The scammers demand the required details from the customers by becoming fake customer care of Geo. Do not share information with anyone to avoid fraud.
4. Beware of calls threatening to disconnect
“Be careful if you receive a threatening call or message to disconnect,” the company said. “These calls ask customers to complete e-KYC,” Reliance Jio told customers. e-KYC threatens to disconnect if not completed.
5. Do not click on the unknown link found in the message
