If you think PAN card details are not in your bank account and TDS is deducted from Fixed Deposit (FD), what will you do? This question is on the minds of many people because such an event happens to many people. This information is required as you have no choice but to provide page details and delete TDS. Form 26AS or Form 16 is required for information on TDS or other tax exemptions. According to section 194A, if FD earns more than Rs 10,000 per year, TDS is reduced. What is Form 26AS
This form is issued by the Income Tax Department which has a full tax and tax liability account. You can download this form from the e-filing portal of the Department of Taxation. In it you can find all the details of the taxpayer and tax deductions. If the page is not specified in your bank and the FD is opened in it, the details of the TDS debit will not be shown on Form 26AS.
If your TDS is deducted from FD interest, you will need to file a tax return to return it. The bank will display the ‘Pen Not Available’ when you submit the TDS form as you did not enter the PAN in the bank. TDS drawn on FD is not available on Form 26AS. In this case, you cannot enter TDS credit.
Can I apply for TDS or not?
Suppose you later registered your PAN card in a bank and the bank reviewed the return of TDS. However you cannot enter TDS credit. This is because you did not want TDS for that financial year. You have exceeded the TDS claim deadline in this case. The solution is to put your PAN in the bank and get a TDS certificate based on it and submit a tax return.
